I think music inspires me more than most things. I need a steady dose of Coltrane, Monk, Simone, or even Hendrix, to get the juices flowing, but as long as I’m listening to something (Pandora is randomly streaming “Boom” by Anjulie) I can write. One art feeds another, I guess.
